Happy Holidays
Sunday, November 30th, 2008Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it! We did the turkey thing a couple days late because Jonathan likes to take his time. Mickey & Guess were certainly having a good time scarfing the kitchen floor while he was working as he would drop something from time to time.
Mickey snoozes on Guess while they await access to the kitchen.
We did lock them out sometimes to keep them from getting any raw onion though. Remember, raw onions, raw garlic, grapes, raisins and chocolate are all not recommended for dogs. In large quantities they can be quite toxic or even deadly. Mickey apparently took the opportunity to get a little shut-eye … right on TOP of Guess… I’m really surprised she tolerated that.
We are expecting our first major snowfall of the season with a Winter Storm Warning calling for 6-8 inches of the fluffy white stuff. Nothing has started yet, but the sky looks ominous to say the least. The shibas always enjoy a frolic in the snow!
Lastly, consider sending a gift to your local rescue or shelter if you can, they never get a holiday from rescuing dogs. We recommend and support MSIR at www.shibarescue.org in our area.
