“No matter where we go
No matter what we do
Of course we will always
Take Turbeaux Too!”

Turbeaux oversees the packing of his bag, complete with toys and treats; the packing of the van and of course all social activities! Along the way he helps another dog and in the end, Turbeaux is successful in keeping his family safe! A must for Shiba lovers and all pet-owners. Funny, yet informative.

“Nicholas, You are … RIDICULOUS!” a new children’s book featuring a shiba inu!

“Nicholas, you are ridiculous!”, recently published by well-known illustrator Olena Kassian, is the first English-language children’s picture book with a Shiba Inu as the hero.
Nicholas, the little Shiba puppy, is mischievous and charming, but his silly antics get him into a spot of predictable trouble – fortunately, comfort comes in the form of the small child who has been observing his pet with delighted amusement.
Everyone who’s had a dog will relate to Nicholas, but those fortunate enough to have Shibas in their lives will find that Olena has really captured the character if the breed – the illustrations alone could tell the story! Her unique style of painting, developed especially for this book, reflects the soft quality of young Shibas, and echoes their Japanese origin.
“Nicholas, you are ridiculous!” was inspired by memories of Olena’s own Shiba, Nikki, and her love of the breed. Future adventures of Nicholas are under consideration.
Olena Kassian’s long international illustrating career includes 17 children’s book titles and images on billboards, print and packaging, for such clients as Goodyear, Nestle’s, The San Diego Zoo. Currently she also exhibits her large black & white drawings in galleries.
This picture book, of 32 pages, is written for ages 3 – 8.
